NCide - OC MADE Fall 2021 Class Graduation

Updated: Dec 7, 2021

November closed on an exciting note for NCide with so many activities for which we are thankful. One of those activities included graduation from the OC Made Fall 2021 class. It is a Orange County / Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (OCIE SBDC) program established to help new and existing small businesses test their product concept in local markets prior to spring boarding onto the national and international platform. The graduation and ribbon cutting ceremony was timely arranged for Small Business Saturday at the OC Fair Ground. It was a privilege to receive Certificates of Recognition from both the OC Clerk - Recorder and the State of California Senate. Thank you to OCIE SBDC, The OC Fair and Events, the Original OC Swap Meet and other program partners for their OC MADE support. This was a great opportunity to market test NCide products.

The jam-packed 4 week course consisted of (1) in-person training classes plus (1) virtual group advisory session per week. With so many product lines to choose from, we had to select which air and surface disinfection and personal care products to bring to market for the audience at the fair. New businesses learned how to establish their entity (as a corporation, LLC or sole proprietor), register for a business license and a DBA (Doing Business As) to get started. We learned canopy staging, product packaging, marketing, financial analysis, pricing and messaging to draw traffic ans sales into our pop-up store prior to the event. It was a good learning platform to market test our products and adjust as necessary for future events.

After the event, we tweaked our marketing message to be more succinct for further testing at the same locale Saturday December 11 and 18, 2021. So come by and see what we have to offer and get some Christmas shopping out of the way.

NCide will donate 2% of our gross profits for these 2 day events to Wise Place, support for homeless unaccompanied women. Join us in helping to provide single, homeless women in Orange County with safe shelter, counseling, mental health services, addiction recovery, and employment assistance to help rebuild their lives.

California Shop Small

Upon completion with the OC Made program, NCide was selected into another SBDC program for eCommerce marketing on the California Shop Small platform. The platform went live last Monday featuring its first class graduates' products. It is a California branded eCommerce platform to help Californian small businesses learn and thrive in the eCommerce space. NCide will be the second group of cohorts for the 5 week, interactive, hands-on training as we will be creating our business and product profiles to begin selling online. Keep an eye out for NCide on CAlifornia Shop Small platform next week.
