OC Made Fall 2021 Class by OCIE SBDC

Updated: 2 days ago

The Orange County Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (OCIE SBDC) developed the OC MADE program to support and train California's small businesses on how to test run their products in the local market prior to going national and international. OCIE SBDC partnered with the Original Orange County Swap Meet (OGOCSWAPMEET) to host and run this program. It was a 4 week expedited course guiding small businesses on entity structuring, product costing and pricing, financial projections, payment processing, marketing, canopy staging and best practices to attract customers to their pop-up shop. In learning to operate in a pandemic, it was important to be nimble for quick pivoting, and understand how to successfully rebound to remain viable with new norms and requirements in the current marketplace. The class helped shape existing and new entrepreneurs thinking to effectively adapt to the market's changing tides with interactive in-class learning and virtual online group mentoring.

NCide was fortunate enough to be selected into the program and on this Small Business Saturday, the Fall 2021 OC MADE class will be graduating and showcasing concepts learned from training at our individual pop-up shops. Please join us for the FREE event at the OC Fairgrounds from 9AM to 3PM. There will be a ribbon cutting session at 10AM for the OC MADE program and its graduates.

Bring your family out to shop local and support Orange County communities while walking off that delicious Thanksgiving meal. There will be food, drinks, music and lots of Christmas gifting ideas to checkoff the shopping list.

Visit our canopy to meet with us, pick up a "GO CARE Box" and find out how to "Thrive Inside and On-The-Go with NCide"! Two percent of our gross profit from OC MADE proceeds will be donated to the OC Homeless Task Force which will also be present at the event. So join us to support our less fortunate citizens.

This Thanksgiving we have so much to be thankful for with the OCIE SBDC team consisting of Manal Richa, Kathleen Swift, Greg Bell and Hang Harper, and David Sesena (DL) from the OGOCSWAPMEET being high on that list. Thank you for your time, dedication and passion to support our success. NCide has a lot of gratitude for all your efforts to getting us prepared for graduation. All of you were helpful, enthusiastic and provided a wealth of knowledge to motivate and mentor us small businesses for success.

Have a safe, healthy and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
